National Silicone’s NS-120 Silicone Foam - Fully Qualified and Ready to Ship
National Silicone, a Division of GCP Industrial Products, is now offering customers a smooth skin, medium firm, liquid silicone foam. National Silicone’s NS-120 material is best known for its extreme smoke and flame rating, FDA approved ingredients, shock absorption, and vibration isolation properties.
The NS-120 has a UL-94-V0 smoke and flame rating perfect for applications in electric vehicles (EV), EV charging stations, aerospace, and railcar to name a few. This material also meets FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 for repeated contact with food. Low compression set, UV / Ozone resistant, wide temperature range, and IP67 sealing capabilities makes the NS-120 perfect for many sealing and enclosure applications.
Independent lab testing has fully qualified this material to meet UL 94 V-0, UL 50E, UL 508, AMS 3195, FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, and ASTM D1056 2D2 standard for compression deflection at high temperatures. Certifications are available.
This gray, smooth skin, closed cell, light density foam is available in thickness ranging from 1/32 to 1/2 inch thick. Typical roll lengths are from 20 to 60 feet, in widths from 19.7 to 36 inches wide, also available by the yard, cut parts, in slit widths, and with or without PSA.

3D-printed silicone shoes give ageing birds a new lease of life!

The novel treatment — which involves creating customised silicone shoes cast from 3D-printed moulds of the birds’ feet — is a result of a two-year collaboration between the Jurong Bird Park’s avian veterinary team and the Keio-NUS Cute Centre of the National University of Singapore’s (NUS).
