Only 3 weeks left until Huntington Place opens its doors to the
silicone industry for the very first time in Detroit.
If you purchase silicone or are looking for new silicone solutions for your business, then Silicone Expo USA is the place to be.
All the details and more can be found in the Silicone Expo Show Preview.
CEO Sarah Nash and the Novagard team will be exhibiting at booth #421 in Detroit.
When Sarah E. Nash took over as CEO in 2018, Novagard manufactured industrial grade silicones that were mainly sold to the construction industry. But the markets were changing and Sarah saw the broader role silicones could play in the manufacturing process.
As the world became increasingly focused on the electrification of everything, companies were looking for world class protection of their critical components. Silicones, with their superior stability, durability, and flexibility across broad temperature ranges, provide excellent insulation, vibration damping, and barrier protection against weather and other intrusions in electronics applications.
Sarah made the strategic decision to evolve Novagard to an electronics grade manufacturer of silicones, and kicked off a multi-year, multi-million-dollar investment plan.
Novagard’s innovative spirit was revitalized! Their EES division transformed the electronics manufacturing process with a silicone coating that cures in mere seconds. With the broadest line of UV/dual cure alkoxyl silicones in the industry, they are the only manufacturer with multiple products IPC-CC-830C certified.
The Building Systems division revolutionized glazing throughput for window manufacturers with a rapid glazing sealant, and is entering the secondary sealant market for insulated glass with a silicone IG sealant.

Specialty Silicone Products (SSP) recently received a certificate of compliance (COC) from NAMSA, the world’s leading MedTech Contract Research Organization, for a 10-durometer silicone test article that passed USP Biological Reactivity Tests, In Vivo for USP Plastics Class VI.
This is the second material in our SSP2390 family of USP Class VI silicones to receive a NAMSA COC. The first was for a 50-durometer test article that passed this same group of tests, which are performed on living organisms to demonstrate biocompatibility.
